Overview

This interesting walk on Kinder Scout involves a strenuous ascent (as do all the approaches), which is rewarded by a delightful promenade around the head of Grindsbrook. We will ascend by a relatively 'quiet' but exhilarating route; pay a visit to the mind-blowing rock formations of the Wool Packs, before completing an airy round to Nether Tor and Ringing Roger.NB Be prepared for strenuous ascent; rough and potentially boggy ground. The paths on Kinder are generally rough and require extra care. NB The walk may need to be slightly altered on the day to maintain safety as there is some erosion. Please feel free to contact Andy, the walk leader, if you have any concerns about the level of fitness needed for this walk.
