Join the York Ramblers for a circular ramble from Leyburn with wonderful views of Wensleydale (weather permitting).
Meeting at the Bus Shelter in Leyburn Market Place, we begin walking to the village of Wensley via the Leyburn Old Glebe Nature Reserve. We will pause briefly in Wensley for a refreshment stop before proceeding along the bank of the River Ure to Lord's Bridge. After crossing the bridge we head initially along the opposite river bank then up to and through West Wood eventually reaching Redmire where we will have lunch. From Redmire we walk to Preston-under-Scar crossing, with care, the Wensleydale Heritage Railway line on the way. We then proceed up to the western end of Leyburn Shawl. After a brief refreshment stop we walk along the Shawl back back to Leyburn.
