Pleasant New Forest walk along gravel and well trodden paths. Sadly at this time of the year, it is very muddy in parts and when walked yesterday there was a fair amount of surface water on the ground. Poles could be an advantage to those of you who have them. A coffee stop is planned for around 3.5 miles and we will stop for a picnic lunch around 8 miles. You should supply your own lunch. The views along the route are lovely and on a clear day, you can see for miles. I hope you can join me.
We set out from Bramshaw Telegraph car park which is just off the B3078 and close to the Roger Penny Way. The car park is small and used by dog walkers. Sometimes it is empty sometimes it is full so please try to car share if you can. We will start at 10am and it is roughly a 30 minute drive from Winchester and 20 minutes from the Chandlers Ford area depending on traffic.
