Easy/moderate walk, on forest tracks or well worn paths; 5 miles in the morning, essentially flat with little undulation. The afternoon is a fraction over 4 miles with some inclines (and downs!) but nothing significant. The New Forest is not hilly and walking is not difficult but most areas offer pleasant views, on the pre-walk we saw several deer.
There are many options for "comfort breaks" particularly once we have started the walk; we will stop for coffee after roughly 1 hour.
It is a 1000hrs start from Cadman's Pool car park (Grid SU229123) and we should finish here at 1530-1600hrs.
Lunch will be at the High Corner Inn (website link below), the pub requires lunch order on Tuesday 29 April so please let me have choice(s) by 1800hrs on the 29th.
If a picnic is your preference there is plenty of open space in the area of the pub; notification of your intention to attend must be made but can be up to late evening on 30 April.
