We are the West London Ramblers. We open the way for everyone in our local community to enjoy the pleasures of walking.
This was a favourite walk of Gail's and one we led together several times so a good opportunity to share happy memories with old and new friends and just enjoy a very beautiful place.
Along good paths and minor roads via Sunninghill Park to enter Windsor Great Park and on to Virginia Water. We will spend about two hours exploring the lakeside and Valley Gardens with their (hopefully) spectacular display of azaleas and rhododendrons. Please bring a picnic lunch and we will stop later at a cafe for drinks, cake and ice-cream. Return through Coworth Park to Sunningdale.
Recommended train: 9.50 from Waterloo, 9.58 Clapham Junction, 10.06 Richmond or 9.53 from Brentford and change at Feltham. Buy a return to Ascot.
