Overview

Starting from the medieval market town of Bishop's Castle we ascend towards Aston Hill, Bishop’s Moat and return via Colebatch on the Shropshire Way. An undulating and lumpy route in beautiful countryside following field paths, old drovers’ roads and quiet lanes. Numerous stiles. Walking poles will help on the ascents and descents. Bring provisions for coffee and lunch breaks. Optional post-walk refreshment drink in the beer garden at The Castle Hotel, Bishop’s Castle.
