9.05 London Victoria (via Clapham Junct) change at East Croydon for 9.30 to Brighton.
The 9.29 London Victoria train is the Gatwick Express and may carry a premium fare

We walk down to join the King Charles coastal path eastwards, passing the marina to the historic village of Rottingdean, with its pretty duck pond and impressive gardens. Famous residents include Rudyard Kipling. We'll allow enough time to look around the village.
The route continues along the coast, past the Meridian monument to the outskirts of Peacehaven, where there is a frequent bus service back to Brighton.
Buy a return to Brighton.
Bring a picnic, or enjoy many of the cafe options in Rottingdean.
There are loos at Brighton station, plus others along the sea front.
Plenty of drop-out points as we are walking parallel to the main road.
