We are the East Cheshire Ramblers. We open the way for everyone in our local community to enjoy the pleasures of walking.
This walk is 5.5 miles, 1035 ft of ascent and billed as “Ramble with a Ranger”. Martin James, Cheshire East Ranger, who is based at Tegg’s Nose, will be joining us, along with members of the public. This will be a leisurely walk with frequent stops for Martin to chat about what we can see and hear.
We walk into the park and drop down to Bottoms Reservoir, we then walk to Ridgegate Reservoir, up into the forest coming out near Ashtreetop. Then walk across the fields to Walker Barn, up past Brink Farm to join the Gritstone Trail before returning to the car park. There will be 2 stops, one for a drink and snack and one for lunch. The scheduled return time is 2pm but it could be later, hopefully not!!
