A WALK DESCRIPTION: ~11 miles, ~350 ft total ascent. Leader – Peter Searle. Beginning at a layby on the A422, on the eastern edge of Broughton Hackett in rural Worcestershire, the walk is mainly through pleasant, gently undulating farmland, passing though occasional quiet villages. We start down a narrow lane beside the March Hare pub in Broughton Hackett. This becomes a track, before we turn east along the Millenium Way to Upton Snodsbury, and beyond to North Piddle. Here we turn south, soon joining the Piddle Brook, which we follow to Naunton Beauchamp and beyond to Sea Ford. Here we turn west, soon joining a bridleway which takes us to the village of Peopleton, where we can find refreshments at the Crown Inn. The subsequent route takes us to the Barrel Bridge, Moat Farm and White Ladies Aston, where we re-join the Millennium Way which returns us close to Broughton Hackett, and we re-join our outward route back to the coach. The fare is £20.
