We are the Winchester Ramblers. We open the way for everyone in our local community to enjoy the pleasures of walking.
A circular walk through forest, open farmland and pretty historic villages. The route is varied and undulating, being close to the Rivers Dever and Test.
The route of the walk should provide us with plenty opportunity to see wildlife, such as deer and wildfowl. The villages en route feature many old interesting buildings and churches.
There are a couple of short sections of walking on tarmac...but they are safe and straightforward.
Please bring a picnic lunch, and refreshments for our mid-morning "coffee-break".
Parking is located on Chilbolton Common - accessed from the centre of Chilbolton, down Joy's Lane. Alternative parking will be used at West Down, if the number of cars is high.
