This walk is a linear section of the Cleveland Way from Robin Hood's Bay finishing at Scarborough. It is a pleasant coastal walk with quite a few ascent and descents into the bays.

Catch the 8.04 train from York to Scarborough. Mark will get on the train at Malton arr 8.55. Then bus to Robin Hoods Bay will be at 9.20 from just outside Scarborough Railway Station arr 10.00. There is a regular train service back from Scarborough.
