Overview

We will start from Horsforth Hall Park and make our way along a track up to the woodlands at Hunger Hills. From here we pass Leeds University Trinity College to cross Brownberrie Lane into woodland leading us towards the airport. We emerge into a field which we cross to arrive on Bayton Lane. We'll walk down the lane a little way and cross onto West End Lane. About 250 yards along the lane we turn off into a field towards Rawdon. After crossing a few fields we'll arive at the main Leeds/Ilkley road. Here we cross and walk down the lanes eventually arriving alongside the river Aire. We walk along the bank, eventually turning off uphill back towards Horsforth and our starting point.

Mostly walking along lanes and through woodland, all of which can be muddy after rain. Even when I did the recce, despite it being mostly dry, there were the occassional muddy patches. There will be occassional times when we have to walk along roads, some very quiet others fairly busy. Depending how people feel we could extend the walk to 8 miles.
