Coffee Couch is a small coffee shop and snack bar with indoor and covered outdoor seating, and a toilet.
After coffee we will have an optional walk, starting by going alongside Central Park and past the pond at the ecology park (1 mile). There are bus stops in nearby Oval Square, for buses to North Greenwich or Stratford. We continue along the Thames Path and to the Thames Barrier, where there are toilets and nearby bus stops (2 miles). We then follow the Green Chain Walk, up a hill and through parks, past more toilets and several bus stops. After passing the Barracks we reach Woolwich centre, where there are more toilets and the possibility of tea. We pass Woolwich Arsenal railway and DLR stations, to finish at the Elizabeth Line station, or at the cafe a few doors beyond.
Although the path surfaces should be good, walking shoes or walking boots are recommended. Bring a picnic if you plan to walk beyond the ecology park.
Coffee Couch, 10 Pier Walk, SE10 0ES. It is near North Greenwich tube and bus stations. When you reach the top of the escalators at North Greenwich you are facing the bus station, where toilets are on the left. For the coffee shop, turn around and go through the main station exit. Walk straight ahead, to pass Wagamama, and Coffee Couch is next door.
