Ground conditions on the recce last week and the amount of rain since then makes it unwise to conduct this walk. Sorry.
We are the Broxtowe Ramblers. We open the way for everyone in our local community to enjoy the pleasures of walking.
Starting along Foremark Reservoir the walk goes across rural Derbyshire to Calke Abbey for a lunch stop at the National Trust site (cafe/toilets available). Returning via Ticknall and Seven Spouts.
Please note that the What3words reference for start point is actually ///reported.terms.dislikes. Toilets/cafe at start/end. Car parking free to National Trust members, otherwise £5 for day. Use your membership card at the parking meter, not your windscreen sticker.
Cafe at Calke Abbey at lunchtime likely to be busy but at least there are toilets there.
Foremark Reservoir Car Park. Postcode takes you past entrance to Reservoir, turn into site following brown signs. On entering the reservoir site, keep going straight on to the cafe. Do not follow road to right at sharp turn. Meet at on-site cafe.
