This is an easy walk (C grade) - around 5 miles, mostly in parkland on good paths and flat terrain. There are several options to shorten further.
The walk follows a route from park to park around Glasgow's south east side, including Glasgow Green, Richmond Park, Toryglen, Moll's Myre Nature Reserve, the old Third Lanark football ground and finally Queen's Park. There are numerous points of interest along the way.
There are toilets at the beginning of the route and half way round. We will have a coffee break in Glasgow Green and a lunch stop at the end - either a packed lunch in Queen's Park or there are various cafes nearby.
Meet for the start of the walk outside St Enoch's Underground Station at 10.30am. Travel to Glasgow can be made by bus, train or car. We will finish at the entrance to Queen's Park where the return journey to the city centre (or Kilmarnock) can be made by bus or train. Please remember to bring your bus pass, if you have one. This is also accepted on the Underground.
