A circular walk led by Adrian W (Mobile no: 07484 864496). Route: Hoe, Hurt Wood, High Wykehurst, Ewhurst, Holmbury Hill, Hurt Wood, Hoe. Terrain sometimes hilly, especially steep climb up Holmbury Hill, some mud mainly in the woods. Lunch at Ewhurst, picnic or ‘The Bulls Head Inn’. Drop-out point: bus from Ewhurst to Guildford at 23 mins. past the hour, especially for those wishing to avoid Holmbury Hill. Map: E147, L186/187.

Gomshall Station (train from Victoria at 09:35 (Portsmouth Harbour service), calling at Clapham Junction at 09:42 and East Croydon at 09:53. Change at Redhill at 10:04 for the 10:10 Reading service).
