Overview

Starting from Stanmore Common Car Park at 10:30 Prof Jeff Duckett will lead a gentle c4 mile half-day walk around Stanmore Common and Bentley Priory exploring the rich plant diversity, from diminutive algae to the large trees which shape our landscape.  Jeff is an Emeritus Professor of Botany and recipient of the 2008 Linnean Society Medal for Botany. He works as a Research Associate at the Natural History Museum and has over 50 years’ experience of London’s vegetation.
