Starting at Yarnbury, we walk to Mossdale Scar and then up to Sandy Gate and onto Riggs Moor supposedly the most remote place in England. The next mile can be challenging as the path is more visible on the map than on the ground but the direction ahead is always clear. At How Stean Gill at about 12 miles there is a chance to take a break with a cup of tea or coffee at the café, before we continue along the Nidderdale Way to Ramsgill and then along the length of Gouthwaite Reservoir to Pateley Bridge. This walk is rated as strenuous due to the length rather than the terrain.
Start 8 am from Pateley Bridge, expected finish 5pm
