Overview

BOOKING REQUESTED. No dogs please.

We head for Little Hayfield, then up on to Lantern Pike, along the Pennine Bridleway to the Sett Valley. Up on to the base of Chinley Churn, then up and over South Head, pass the base of Brown Knowle, Kinder trig point, Swines Back, and Edale Cross. Then back down to Hayfield via Broad Clough or Tunstead Clough Farm.  Risk assessment: Rough terrain so boots needed. May be muddy. Crossing A624, so care needed. Small amount of road walking. Due to the long distance, suggest bring extra food and drink.
