From the station to Hodgfold, Bothams Hall, Near Cloughside, Benfield Clough, Compstall and Etherow Country Park, Ernocroft, Sandy Lane.  On to the Cown Edge Way back to Broadbottom. Risk assessment: Care crossing the main A626. Some slippery grass slopes and some high stiles.
