Overview

Meet at 9.30am outside the Wheatsheaf & Pigeon Pub at the corner of Wheatsheaf Lane & Penton Road Staines.  Suggest local roadside parking further along Penton Rd from pub or nearby Avondale Avenue.  This is very much a local walk from Staines towards Thorpe Nature Reserve, Chertsey (via Willow Walk and then return via Laleham Park along towpath/footpaths & some pavement walking.  We’ll have a brief drink stop in the morning & then lunch Al-fresco at Abbeyfields in Chertsey. (Pubs & cafes nearby). Hopefully there’ll be an opportunity (if walkers would like) to visit the Laleham cafe on the homeward stretch.  If walkers only want to do part of the walk there is a bus option from Chertsey to Shepperton & then change for Staines.  Please let me know if you would like to attend by 7pm the evening before.  Joy 07814 153396
