Overview

The 08:28 from Staines will get us to Hayes at 10:21. Please meet at seating on the concourse of Waterloo Station near platform 24 for our onward journey. Book your return journey from Sanderstead Station. We will catch a bus from Hamsey Green to Sanderstead Station (London Transport-no cash taken). We will have a coffee stop at Coney Hall Village about a mile from the start. From the coffee stop the route goes via St. John's Church, Playing Fields, Spring Park, Threehalfpenny Wood and Shirley Church Road to Upper Shirley for a pub/picnic lunch. The food choice was not that good when I did the survey, so it might be an idea to bring extra and we will have a break during the afternoon. The afternoon route is via Addington Hill, Heathfield Gardens, Bramley Bank, Elm Farm and Kingswood Lodge.
