From Muker, we take the path to Ramps Holme Bridge and track on the east side of the River Swale towards Keld. The route passes East Gill Force, Currack Force and continues to Wain Wath Force. Returning to Keld along the road, we’ll have lunch, then visit Hoggarth’s Leap and Catrake Force (on private land – permissive access). The return route along the Pennine Way allows us to visit Kisdon Upper Force and Lower Force before a gentle low-level route on the west side of the river to Muker. Most of the route is on good paths and tracks, but access to view some of the falls can be slippery if wet. Access to Kisdon Force involves a steep scramble (optional).
This is a moderate walk, but access to the waterfalls can be slippery if wet. Walking poles are advised. Boots are essential. No dogs.
All day parking charge £5.40 by cash or phone.
