Please note - The walk is part of an East Yorkshire and Derwent Area Camp weekend. All Ramblers members are welcome, pre-booking essential.
Join us on a circular walk from Thwaite to Ravenseat via Keld Side before returning via Keld back and Muker. The walk affords many fine views of Swaledale, the River Swale and the areas mining and agricultural heritage.
This walk is graded as generally moderate however, there are a number sections that are more strenuous, due the nature of the terrain eg steep path assent/ decent. The walk leader will advise.
The walk is along defined paths and tracks that can be rocky and stony in places, which may become slippy in wet conditions. The walk also takes in exposed moorland, it is essential that you wear / take appropriate clothing and walking boots. In addition we would also advise waterproofs, sun hat / sun protection, walking poles etc. The walk leader will advise on the weather forecast / conditions etc at the meeting point. Please remember to bring plenty of fluids, lunch and snacks. It is essential if you have any concerns to please let the walk leader know as soon as possible. For further information see

The walk also takes us through areas of mining heritage. For safety we would advise that you not enter any mine entrances.
