The walk starts at Muker car park, we then proceed along the River Swale before ascending Swinner Gill. Renowned for its disused lead mines. From there we walk over moorland towards Lownathwaite Moor, before returning along Gunnerside Beck to Gunnerside. Then following the River Swale back to Muker. The walks enjoys splendid views of Swaledale along and its mining heritage.
