Walk across farmland to Lyme Park. Through Elmhurst Wood to Timber Yard cafe at Lyme Hall (toilets) for coffee break, please bring a drink/snack.
Around lake then across field with an incline up to Paddock Cottage for(hopefully) good views . Downhill to West Park Drive then along to main track down to Nelsons Pit. Back to CP along canal & Middlewood Way.
One ladder stile & 2 reasonable stiles. Very little mud at the moment.
Dogs must be on leads.
No lunch arranged but The Boars Head pub at Nelsons Pit is convenient.
WARNING. There is a road closure in Poynton centre on London Rd South between Aldi & the Roundels by Panache. If coming from Macclesfield direction you could go right up Dickens Lane, left along Clumber Rd & right onto Park Lane. This has been rearranged 3 times but may now be in place on 28th.
