Overview

An almost circular walk led by Sue C. The City of London Archaeological Trust Trail guides us to remains from the period 1066 to 1500. Medieval Londoners also built wharves and warehouses and reclaimed land from the Thames. At the height of this period 80,000 lived within the London Walls. Pub or picnic lunch near The Tower. Toilets there. Finish Bishopsgate 3:00-3:30pm. Walk or bus to London Bridge. Map: E173, London A-Z.
