Overview

PLEASE NOTE THAT THE LEADER WALKED IT OUT YESTERDAY AND NOW REVISES THE DIFFICULTY TO STRENUOUS

This walk takes us high onto the moors on the north side of the dale above Ilkley. Passing through the old village of Middleton, it visits Fairy Dell & then steadily gains height to reach Gawk Hall Ridge & Round Hill @ 1,340 ft.

We then descend over grouse moors returning via Hunger lane to Middleton village and woods  ack into Ilkley.
