Oakamoor Churnet Valley - LONG WALK

From the Leek to Ashbourne Road, follow signs for Alton Towers.

Route: Oakamoor Village - Oulsclough - Rock Cottage - Whiston - Froghall Wharf - Froghall Station - Kingsley Holt - Staffordshire Way - Hawksmoor Cottage, Dimmingsdale Wood - Dimmings Dale - Lords Bridge returning to CP along Churnet Way.

Afternoon tea stop at Ramblers Retreat Tea Room (by Lord's Bridge). 25 min walk back to CP.     Bring packed lunch.

Parts of the Churnet Valley are muddy/wet underfoot. Waterproof boots, gaiters and poles (if you use them) are advisable.
