We are the Winchester Ramblers. We open the way for everyone in our local community to enjoy the pleasures of walking.
Join me on this picturesque walk starting from the popular viewpoint of Old Winchester Hill. In the morning we descend eastwards via Mill End Lane track to Meonstoke via 7 stiles. We then proceed to Exton where we stop for lunch at The Shoe whilst picnickers can use the nearby churchyard.
In the afternoon, we return via Garden Hill Lane and the Monarch’s way to Old Winchester Hill which was alive with butterflies and abundant wildflowers on my recce.
Approximately, 4 miles in the morning and the same in the afternoon.
Park in Old Winchester Hill Car park on the right at the top of the hill. Please car share if possible as this is a very popular area
