Overview

Saturday March 8th sees the second pudding walk from Lydford village. This walk was a great success last year but I need at least 20 people to make it worth while for the pudding ladies so please text or email me to confirm you are coming please.

We start at 0930 from Lydford village car park (Charges now apply at £5.30 for the day, card or RingGo app only) and after a short history trail around Lydford we exit via Skitt Lane onto High Down to take in the wondeful view of the western flank of Dartmoor. After a coffee break we head off across the river (bridge or stepping stones) to pass around Arms Tor and the steady climb up to Little Links Tor. Then its a short sharp uphil to Great Links Tor and our lunch stop. Then its downhill all the way via Brai Tor to re-enter the village along School Lane.

Don't have too much for lunch as we will then gather in the Nicholls Hall (on School Lane opposite Silver Street) to enjoy some luscious puddings. A choice of at least three will be available including jam roly-poly, bread and butter pudding and syrup sponge served with cream or custard. A gluten free option will be available. The cost of this will be £6 each (to include a hot drink) payable direct to the Nicholls Hall (cash or card) on the day.

Come along and enjoy a great walk with an even better finish!
