This is a figure of 8 walk passing Taxal Church twice. On a fine day there are spectacular views. There is some walking on quiet country roads, most off road tracks are good, but muddy in some areas. Route: Shallcross Hall Farm, Cadster, Ollerenshaw Hall, Eccles Pike, Horwich House, Whaley Bridge, Taxal, Overton Hall Farm, Taxal Edge (optional – can walk down Taxal Moor Road), Taxal Church, Taxal Layby. Should be back by 3.00 pm. Toilets available in Whaley Bridge and Taxal Church. Bring drinks and snack for coffee and lunch stops. Lift available from Handforth area. Contact Melanie 07854 093785.
