We are the Newark Ramblers. We open the way for everyone in our local community to enjoy the pleasures of walking.
Join us for a walk around Rolleston, Upton, and Kelham.
We will start from Rolleston village, climb gently to Upton, explore woods and hills around Kelham, climb Micklebarrow Hill, then return via Upton to Rolleston.
There will be literary and horological connections, and long views.
Coffee and lunch breaks will be taken en route, giving us time to savour the lovely countryside.
Street parking is available on Station Road, outside Rolleston Church.
Unfortunately, there are no toilets.
Well behaved dogs and responsible handlers are welcome. Please be considerate of fellow walkers' feelings towards dogs, which may differ from yours.
We encourage travel by public transport and car sharing
Train from Newark at 9.36 arrives Rolleston 9.42.
Train from Nottingham (8.52), Carlton (8.59), Lowdham (9.05), and Fiskerton (9.12) arrive Newark 9.20, to connect with the 9.36 to Rolleston.
