Overview

A circular walk, combining wonderful countryside views, with some historic sites and viewpoints within Winchester.

The walk starts in the Cathedral grounds, then following one of the Itchen' tributaries to Kings Worthy.  The return route crosses over a series of wonderful footbridges across the Itchen river complex, and follows the edge of Easton Down towards Winchester.

The walk enters Winchester by the edge of Winnall Moors, and then proceeds to St. Giles for some tremendous views of the City.  The final leg takes in the historic landmarks near the Cathedral.
