Overview

 ****UPDATED*****

This walk follows the cleveland way along the coastline to Staithes. It is a linear walk and you will able to get a bus back to the start point.

This walk heads south from Saltburn along the coast towards Skinningrove to the beach and up along the cliffs. It follows a mixture of coastal paths, good tracks, steps, minor roads and beach walking. In some sections we will walk close to the cliff tops, be aware that some areas aren't fenced off, please be aware there are some large drops.

Some of the walk is fairly flattish however there is a very steep decend into Skinningrove and a very steep uphill climb onto the tops of the cliffs towards Staithes.

We will take a break/lunch at Skinningrove beach. Bring a packed lunch, plenty of water, sunscreen, waterproofs etc....

There is one section where there are alot of over grown fern/bracken long trousers may be advisable.

The walk finishes in Staithes where we will have time to enjoy refreshments, there are plenty of ice-cream kiosks, cafes and pubs.

There will be time to explore Staithes before we return to Saltburn on the bus.

No dogs please.
