Overview

A flat 10 mile walk to Skelton Lake services and back. The services are known for their modern eco-friendly construction

We will join the Leeds canal at Cross Green and follow it to the junction with Skelton Lake. We will take a break along the canal then have an extended lunch at Skelton Lake services. Therefore you are welcome to bring your own food or purchase something whilst there (or both!). There are also toilets at the services

We will then follow the Temple Newsam trail back to the start point

There is plenty of free on street parking - please respect local residents

There are several buses which stop on York Road - this is about a 5mins walk from the start point
