Overview

A familiar and much-loved walk around the town of Southwell taking in the path along the River Greet up to Maythorne mill then through Norwood Park , Starkey's fruit farm, Westhorpe and up Cundy hill through to Brackenhurst College. We will take a break here in the gardens, then descend across the fields back into Southwell. Here we can walk around the beautiful Minster, take an optional lunch break in the gardens and wander through the town back to the start. The field paths can be muddy and slippery so the route may vary slightly on the day depending on the conditions underfoot. There may also be cattle so please be prepared to keep dogs on a lead.
We will make sure to end at The Final Whistle where walkers who wish can wet their whistles.

Please register for this walk on Newark Ramblers website where you will also find details of our car share scheme.
