Overview

Traverse of three open-access moors from Eyam - Eyam Moor, Offerton Moor and Abney Moor.

Route: Head north from the village over Bole Hill and Sir William Hill Road, crossing Eyam Moor to Leam then through Highlow woods to Highlow Hall. Track to Offerton Hall then cross Offerton Moor and two sections of Abney Moor before returning via Great Hucklow and Foolow.

Highlow woods may be muddy in places. The open moors are home to ground-nesting birds and the walk back from Foolow may have lambs by April, so no dogs please.

Bring packed lunch.
