Welcome to Capital Walkers, the friendly London Ramblers group for people aged 40+. We walk every weekend and usually at least once during the week.

A walk of gentle paths, country lanes and bridleways, scouting the lower levels of the Chilterns. The path initially follows Grim's Ditch before looping north at Nuffield Common, where there are undulating hills. The walk crosses Swyncombe Downs Earthwork, before joining the Old Icknield Way and Swans's Way. Dress suitably for the time of year, paths may be muddy in places.
There are no drop out points.
Please bring a packed lunch.
The walk will be paced at approx 3mph. This walk is part of the Ridgeway series.
Travel details:
Depart London Paddington Railway Station 9:15 (Swindon) arriving Reading Railway Station 9:40. Then X40 bus from stop SB (Reading Town Centre: Station Road) at 10:05am arriving Crowmarsh Gifford, Church 10:56am
Return Oxford Tube Bus half hourly to Hillingdon Station (Metropolitan and Piccadilly Line) or various stops, se timetable.
Freedom pass holders travel free on the Elizabeth Line to Reading Railway Station
No booking required.
