Walking along the highpoints of north London with great views along the way. The walk starts at Hampstead Heath station and ends at Alexandra Palace, walking through green spaces, heaths and woods with great views of London. From the station we meander across Hampstead Heath, initially climbing up Parliament Hill for fine views across the city. The walk continues over the heath via Kenwood House and from there we make our way to Highgate.
Continuing on from Highgate we wander through the ancient woodlands of Queens wood and Highgate wood, then along the Parkland walk for more views of London from Alexandra palace.
Please bring a packed lunch. We will stop for lunch at either Kenwood House or Highgate Wood, depending on time.
Meet outside Hampstead Heath station (when leaving the station cross South Hill Park and we will meet on the corner of Southend Road and South Hill Park).
The walk is mainly along well. made footpaths, although, some sections can be muddy after rain.
