Overview

Whaley Bridge Station, Toddbrook Reservoir, Walker Brow, Taxal Edge, Overton Hall Farm (Coffee Break), River Goyt, Shallcross Wood, Horwich End back to the Station.

Length: 6 miles      Moderate (Strenuous climb to Taxal Edge)       Ascent: 846 ft to Taxal Edge

Notes: I reccied the walk on 3 Dec in the snow and Yaktraxs and Poles came in handy.

Car Parking: Free parking on Canal Basin CP and on the main road.

Public toilets near the station.      Great snowy views through the fog.
