Overview

An easy circular walk full of interesting sights. The walk starts in the Woolwich Heritage conservation area, going past foundries, factories, warehouses and military buildings where ammunition, weapons and explosives were manufactured and research undertaken for over 300 years. There is also a lovely walk along the Thames Path, passing remnants of a former canal and climbing an unusual manmade hill. We will have coffee and refreshments in The Works, Woolwich, also toilets.  The walk is mostly on good paths.
