Overview

Start/ Finish at the old railway station at Cloughton. station lane cloughton.
Grid ref 011 941. Nearest town Scarborough.

The walk takes us south along the old railway bed (cinder track ) to the village of Scalby, we then take a left over fields and join the Cleveland way coastal path north past Cromer Point, Long Nab, Rodger Trod to Hayburn Wyke, where if not too slippery walk down to the waterfall. Then back up to Hayburn Wyke hotel to rejoin the cinder trail back to the cars.

There are no toilets at the start and it is exposed on the cliffs.  Nearest toilets are in Scalby Village on way to the start.

Terrain.  Steep ascents and decents at Cloughton wyke.

Facilities. Pub at Hayburn wyke ( if thirsty ).

Parking at the former Cloughton railway station.

Parking is by the old station on Station Lane Cloughton. This is North of Scarborough on the A171 just after Burniston.
