Overview

Join the York Ramblers for a circular walk on the North York Moors from Square Corner near Osmotherly.  Hopefully the Heather will still be in bloom and there are good views across the Vale of York.

The walk begins by descending through Oak Dale to Burnthouse Lane then on, via Soloman’s Lane and moorland tracks, to Whitestones Ridge.  We pass Dale Head and cross Bawderis Beck before ascending Locker Bank. The route then heads west and south on a moorland track to join the Cleveland Way at White Gill Head.  Following the Cleveland Way north westerly past Black Hambleton we eventually descend back to Square Corner.
