A walking group for young people in the Shropshire area. We have walks on most weekends, mid-week in the summer as well as socials and weekends away too.
Accommodation for the evening will be at either Brow Farm Campsite in Rattlinghope or the YHA in Bridges. If anyone of feeling particularly indulgent, The Bridges pub also has rooms available.
The campsite costs £10 per person per night and payment is made in cash on the day of arrival. There are toilet and shower facilities onsite and the site also operates a food van on the weekend, from Friday night to Sunday morning. They don't have a website but they do have a Facebook page and reviews on TripAdvisor.
The YHA in Bridges has shared rooms that sleep from 4-8 people and can be booked online at www.yha.org.uk/hostel/yha-bridges. The hostel has self catering facilities.
Please let me know if you will be camping or staying at the hostel/pub.
For those of you choosing to camp, you will need to carry your camping gear with you.
Our evening meal will (hopefully) be at The Bridges Pub. I will reserve a table closer to the time and sample menus and prices can be found on their website www.thebridgespub.co.uk. Please confirm if you will be eating at the the pub
The pub is about a mile away from the campsite so there will be a few extra steps involved for people opting to camp.
On Sunday morning we will re-group and walk 5 miles onto Church Stretton to get the train back to Shrewsbury
