We will meet for a light lunch at the Skiddaw Hotel in Keswick (menu to be arranged) at 12 noon, and then go for a short flat lake shore walk, at a leisurely pace, from the town via Friars Crag to Calf Close Bay. On the return there will be an option to go up to Castle Head to enjoy a panoramic view over the lake. Back in Keswick we will have an opportunity to look round the shops or have a cup of tea, before meeting at 4pm at the Keswick Alhambra for a private showing of the acclaimed film 'Wilding' which celebrates the ecological rebirth of a 3,500-acre farm in West Sussex, where wildlife and nature have been restored by a couple's risky experiment. The cost for the cinema will be £9 per person, payable to Sue on the day, and the lunch will be payable to the restaurant, details to follow.
Please book as soon as possible as numbers are limited. Booking closes on October 30th.
