Overview

Leaders: Jane P. and Julia H.

We start and finish at the Amphitheatre at Knowle, progress to Woodlands our first orné, wind down following a stream to the Connaught Gardens for a reading from Elizabeth Barrett Browning with coffee. An edited explore of the town follows with its inspiration for writers and architects largely of the 18th and nineteenth centuries, stroll the Esplanade to the Byes noticing many of the 64 blue plaques which make Sidmouth significantly noteworthy.
Though including paths, parks and gardens this walk has pavement in parts through the town. There will be another EBB reading during lunch at The Amphitheatre.
