We are the Rushcliffe Ramblers. We open the way for everyone in our local community to enjoy the pleasures of walking.
The walk takes us through Meadow Park, along Kingston Brook and up to Fox Hill before dropping down to the outskirts of West Leake village. We then work our way up to Cuckoo Bush Farm and then along the plateau of the West Leake Hills, passing the Cuckoo Bush, made legendary by the Wise Men of Gotham, and Rushcliffe Golf Course. We return to East Leake through village housing, circling East Leake Academy, and then back through Meadow Park. Be warned that the paths near Kingston Brook may well be very muddy.
There is no need to book onto this walk, just turn up and join us.
Dependent on weather conditions, there could be very good views on this walk. There will be a drinks stop along the way. There are no stiles.
There should be ample parking in the village car park on Gotham Road, opposite the fire station and public toilets. The village hall (walk starts from the hall entrance) is accessible from the back of the car park.
The walk will start from the village hall entrance on Main Street.
