A full day out on the Ayrshire Coastal Path, for an approximately 11-mile linear walk from Lendalfoot to Turnberry via Girvan on paths, pavement, rocky and sandy shoreline and hillside tracks.
This walk though only featuring one short-ish ascent, is challenging in places due to rocky stretches of shoreline. The tide will dictate how long these stretches are. Please bear this in mind when deciding whether to come along on the walk.
Note that this is a car-share walk. Please let the leader know as soon as possible if you are willing to drive and offer lifts for this walk.
The start and finish times for the walk are an approximation
If you wish to come on the walk you must contact the leader by email, text or phone call but no more than 2 weeks in advance and provide a contact number in case arrangements change.
Walkers should not come if they have any covid symptoms.
Drivers should park in Morrison’s car park alongside Partick railway station prior to setting off for Lendalfoot.
Drivers will swap cars from Lendalfoot to Turnberry at the end of the walk. Those requiring lifts should be prepared to wait approximately 30 minutes while the cars are swapped round.
