A lovely walk in the Carron Valley, through the forest, climbing Meikle Bin and beside the reservoir.
The distinctive peak of Meikle Bin looms above the forest. It’s a steep climb up through the woods and onto the open hill to reach the summit, but if you’re fit and prepared, well worth it for the views.
The terrain for this walk is a mixture of gravel Forestry Commission roads, woodland and grassy paths which may be muddy. Walking boots are required.
This is a car share walk, if you are able to drive, please get in touch with the Walk Leader, Sandra, as soon as possible. The number of walkers will depend on the number of cars.
If you wish to come on the walk you must contact the Leader, Sandra, in advance by email or text but not more than two weeks in advance. This is 17th May at the earliest. Also please provide the Leader with a mobile phone number in case arrangements change.
If you’ve not had a response within a couple of days please check your junk mail.
Walkers should carry an "in case of emergency" card with contact details.
